She continued, “Just in the education system back in my mother’s time, women were not allowed to go to school.”
She lamented that her mother was smart and intelligent but was not allowed to go to school.
“But in our generation, school is a normal thing because some people stood up to fight for it and conquered that field”, She said.
“Also in the field of medicine they also believe that it was no place for a women. But an Abeokuta lady, Late Doc Mrs Awoniyi, The first Nigerian woman to become a doctor, also the field of geophysics, Eniola Ajakayi a PHD holder were able to conquer their fields.”
She advises women to take control of their sphere. She clamors that mining need more women, it is a field not just for men only.
