BAADRA 2022 Merit Awards

 


The President/Publisher of Blissful Affairs Magazine, Princess Ada Aniekwe hosted her 8th edition BAADRA 2022 Merit Award.

The award held on the 4th of Dec, 2022 at Presken Hotel, Ikeja.



The event was a day to remember in the media world, so many distinguished Guest of humble characters were present.



Among the honored guest was Mr. Femi Babafemi, Director of Media, NDLEA. He was the Guest Speaker of the day. He also merited an award in the event.

Mr. Femi Babafemi gave a lecture on smuggling and importation of illicit  and illegal drugs and substances in Nigeria and Africans as a whole, drug abuse and how it has affected Nigerian youths and solutions  on how to eliminate drug abuse and illicit drug smuggling in the nation.

He mention that some of the causes of drug abuse are:

•Depression

• Broken homes

• Lack of parental training 

• Peer group influence

• Unemployment 

• Poverty, bad lifestyle, etc.

According to him, illicit drugs are being smuggled Into Nigeria through packaged foods which very dangerous , causing a lot of havoc in the society, damaging the abusers health.

 In Nigeria, illicit drugs are being consumed everywhere by celebrities, youths of different ages, irresponsible parents,etc. Popular drugs nowadays includes; Loud, herbal weed, abusing medicinal drugs like tramadol, etc. 

Being high is the new language of youth.

The effects of such  drug abuse damages the body internal system, causes madness, increases the crime rate and violent in the society. 

He also mentioned that for drug abuse and it’s smuggling to be eliminated, parents /guardians, government, churches, NGOs and the society must work together.





Sujit Mukherjee, President of Sona Group of Industries was the Special Guest of Honor in BAADRA Awards. He also merited an award in the event.

His companies are Euro Global, Food Afro and Industries, Shongai Technology Limited  host of others. Some of them were used on celebrating the BAADRA event .



We can’t ignore the presence of the representative of Lagos Commissioner of Police, and Pastor Ken Ugochukwu, he received an award on behalf of Redeem Christian Church of God, and the Co-ordinator of the event, Mr. Cornell Udofia, President of Gladiator’s Publications.
