PRESIDENT OF OHANEZE LAGOS STATE PAID A SYMPATHY VISIT IGBO TRADERS WHOSE BUILDINGS AND SHOPS WERE DEMOLISHED BY LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT.

 Igbo traders in ALABA international market were thrown into tears by Sanwo-Olu led administration of Lagos State government. Over eighteen buildings and ninety shops were demolished . Goods and properties were destroyed, making the life of these igbo traders unbearable. 

According to president general of ALABA amalgamated union traders , he said that he was totally confused about the whole situation , he further explained that what the government did was too bad as no warning or notice was given to them. He also mentioned that he have never seen this kind  of babaric act before, that all of a sudden over fifty Nigeria police men filled the market with tax force men and start demolishing buildings . He lamented that igbo traders were stopped from moving away their goods by using teargas on the people who are trying to bring out their goods. He call on igbo personalities to call on the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu to order while Justice is being achieved.

The visit of Ohaneze president Lagos State Chief Ossai  Sunday eased some tensions as he sympathized with them and assured them that something tangible must be done to seek for Justice.

He lamented that the building demolition has caused a lots of controversy now that igbos are recovering from after math of 2023 election ,  saying that the way igbo properties are being destroy is very wrong , that the government should learn to do things with human face.  He explained that warning and notice should be given for a period of time for people to take note and do the necessary things they suppose to do. He lamented putting igbo traders in this babaric condition in this hard economy,  he sympathizes with the affected victims to take heart and call all the union heads not to leave the matter only to those affected but they should work as a team to achieve a common goal, while assuring them that there must be a solution to this.

Ohaneze president chief Ossai is calling on igbo elites to seek for Justice  for all these mayhem on igbo community especially in Lagos State.

President chief Sunday Ossai is pleading with Lagos State government to look into this matter with human face , and also sympathize with ALABA igbo traders especially those affected , and compensate them because they bought the lands with money,  and also compensate people whose goods were destroyed.
