300 Brilliant Students to Receive Sponsorship from Okey-Joe Onuakalusi to University
Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, representing Oshodi/Isolo II of Lagos State in the green chamber of National Assembly fulfilled the promises he made during his campaign.
Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi took up 300 secondary school students for university sponsorship.
The Director General of Okey -Joe campaign organization, John Onyebuchukwu Uche, who represented the lawmaker insisted Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi would keep his promises about improving the constituency.
He mentioned that, the future of the country is important and that is the reason for taking steps to screen these young ones, students who passes their JAMB exam are automatically qualified to be under scholarship till he or she graduates.
He added that, not only is this program is a yearly program, we've brought the National Teachers Institute (NTI) to be sited here in Oshodi / Isolo Constituency for the benefit of our children interested in teaching profession. We are distributing free uniforms and other study materials to unity schools in our constituency, and we are not giving up.
A perspective beneficiary, Emmanuella Olabanji, from Army Cantonment Senior Secondary Maryland, Ikeja, expressed her excitement and promised to maximize the opportunity to get to the peak in her choose career.
She said, “I won’t abuse this opportunity. I want to study public administration, and I appreciate our elected representative. I implore him to keep doing the good work, his works shall speak for him tomorrow.”
Another prospective university beneficiary, Muruako Ikechukwu, of Jeed Trinity College, Ilasa Maja, who got the information through his father’s friend, said he was prepared for the tasks ahead and would leave no stone unturned to ensure that he makes good use of the opportunity.
Ikechukwu implored to other elected and appointed government officials to show empathy for the plight of the people and equally urged his fellow students to be studious and never disappoint the pragmatic, accountable and responsible lawmaker and representative.
