Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ayobanna Ikeanumba, CEO of Ikeanumba Media Ltd, publishers of The Lagos Times and Ikeanumba Africa Magazine, said the honourees were carefully selected through extensive research across multiple sectors. He praised their resilience, creativity, and impact in driving change across Africa.
Among those recognised was Alhaji Aliko Dangote, honoured for his transformative role in Nigeria’s fuel supply chain. His refinery project has significantly improved access to fuel, even as price challenges remain.
Ambassador Cornell Udofia, CEO of Cornel Media and PRO of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos Chapter, highlighted the importance of recognition, noting that impactful work often inspires quietly: “When you’re doing great things, you may not realise how many people are watching and feeling you,” he said.
Through the award and Africa Disruptors, the organisers aim to inspire the next generation of African entrepreneurs, promoting innovation, sustainable growth, and empowerment across the continent.
